Job Description:

We are seeking a visionary and highly creative Head of Design to lead the conceptualization, development, and execution of our jewellery collections. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in design, trend forecasting, and product innovation, while balancing commercial viability with aesthetic excellence. You will play a key role in shaping the brand’s design language, driving seasonal collections, and mentoring a team of designers.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Leadership

Define and uphold the brand's design vision, identity, and aesthetic across all product lines.
Lead the design process from concept through final development—sketching, prototyping, and refining.
Translate brand strategy and market trends into compelling, wearable designs that resonate with the target audience.

Collection Development

Create seasonal and core collections aligned with brand and commercial strategy (e.g., fine jewellery, bridal, occasion wear).
Ensure innovation in design while balancing cost, materials, and manufacturability.
Collaborate with merchandising and marketing to ensure collections meet business objectives.

Trend & Market Intelligence

Conduct ongoing research on fashion, lifestyle, cultural, and material trends.
Analyze consumer insights and competitor collections to inform design strategy.
Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to stay ahead of global design movements.

Team Leadership

Manage and mentor the design team, ensuring a high level of creativity, collaboration, and execution.
Oversee workflow, timelines, and quality control for all design projects.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with product development, sourcing, and production teams to ensure design feasibility and scalability.
Collaborate with marketing on product storytelling, campaign visuals, and packaging.

Innovation & Sustainability

Explore and integrate new materials, techniques, and technologies in design.
Lead sustainability initiatives in design and sourcing wherever possible.

Qualification Required:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Jewellery Design, Fine Arts, Fashion Design, or related field.
10+ years of experience in jewellery design, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
Strong design portfolio showcasing original collections and craftsmanship.
In-depth understanding of materials (gold, silver, diamonds, gemstones), production techniques, and global trends.
Experience working with CAD tools (e.g., Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD) and hand-sketching.
