Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Merchandiser to lead our merchandising team in the lab-grown diamond jewellery segment. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in product development, trend analysis, and supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in jewellery merchandising, with a proven track record in team leadership, vendor management, and driving sales through effective product planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Development:
 Plan and develop jewellery collections aligned with market trends, consumer preferences, and brand positioning.
Merchandising & Inventory Management: 
Optimize product assortment, pricing, and stock levels to maximise sales and profitability.
Market & Trend Analysis: 
Stay updated on industry trends, competitor strategies, and consumer demand to drive innovative and market-relevant collections.
Supplier & Vendor Management: 
Collaborate with suppliers to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of jewellery pieces.
Team Leadership: 
Lead and mentor a team of merchandisers, designers, and sourcing specialists to enhance productivity and creativity.
Sales & Performance Analysis: 
Monitor sales data, identify high-performing products, and implement strategies to enhance category performance.
Collaboration with Stakeholders: 
Work closely with marketing, design, and retail teams to ensure successful product launches and promotional campaigns.
Qualifications & Skills:
Experience: Minimum 5+ years in jewellery merchandising, preferably in lab-grown diamonds or fine jewellery.
Leadership Skills: 
Proven experience in managing and guiding a team towards achieving business goals.
Jewellery & Market Knowledge: 
Strong understanding of jewellery design, materials, and consumer preferences in the lab-grown diamond sector.
Analytical Abilities: 
Proficiency in sales forecasting, data analysis, and inventory planning.
Negotiation & Vendor Management: 
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers.
Communication Skills: 
Excellent verbal and written communication for effective coordination with internal teams and external partners.
Tech Savvy:
 Familiarity with ERP systems, merchandising software, and MS Excel for data-driven decision-making.
