Vice President Of Finance

Job Description:The Vice President of Finance will serve as a key strategic and operational leader, overseeing all financial planning, controls, and reporting. This individual will be responsible for driving financial strategy, securing the company’s financial health, and enabling data-driven decision-making across departments. As part of the executive leadership team, the VP of Finance will play a critical role in fundraising, capital allocation, risk management, and scaling operations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership

  • Lead long-term financial planning and budgeting aligned with business objectives

  • Partner with CEO and department heads to evaluate growth opportunities, pricing, margin improvement, and ROI of key initiatives

  • Serve as a key voice in strategic decision-making, fundraising, and investor relations

Financial Operations & Controls

  • Oversee accounting, compliance, payroll, audit, and tax activities

  • Ensure robust financial systems and controls are in place as the company scales

  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and treasury functions effectively

Reporting & Analysis

  • Build and maintain detailed financial models, dashboards, and board-ready reports

  • Monitor key financial metrics and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports

  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing actionable insights to stakeholders

Team Building & Leadership

  • Build and mentor a high-performing finance and accounting team

  • Foster a culture of ownership, integrity, and continuous improvement

  • Work cross-functionally to instill financial discipline across the organization

Fundraising & Investor Relations

  • Support equity and debt fundraising efforts as needed

  • Manage relationships with existing investors, board members, and financial institutions

Ensure timely and transparent communication of financial health and KPIs

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, ideally in consumer brands, retail, D2C, or luxury sectors

  • Proven experience managing FP&A, accounting, compliance, and strategic finance

  • Background in high-growth environments or startups is a strong plus

  • Strong command of financial modeling, systems (e.g., ERP, QuickBooks, NetSuite), and Excel

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; CPA/MBA preferred
